    Hello!
No, support is not planned, as for any device with touchscreen. Thanks for understanding.

    Hi!
In which cases you are planned support? E.g - donation? Any other?

Hi @Max NuttShell ! Glad to see you here :)
While we do not plan at all, the touchscreen control requires a complete reworking of the concept, and it should be started in another branch, such as RedPanda for color displays.
But for now the Solo is unique and unrepeatable :D and most likely will remain so forever. And while we do not really want to write a bunch of everything anew for the sake of one box, sorry.

Possibly, the releases of some new devices with similar controls will affect the decision, but for now... "limited edition", "10th anniversary" etc... nothing inspiring [IMG]

So, it's the same problem with the Joyetech Espion Infinite, it is also the only one to use its type of screen, small (0.96 ") and in color, what affects your decision to develop a version of RedPanda on it?

Yes. Unique display resolution and a bunch of LEDs.
If to be completely honest, then the exceptions can be. But, at least, it should be enjoyable device that we ourselves would be interested in, and now this is a problem: nothing outstanding, but more and more strange.

    Hi folks,

is there any chance to get Artic Fox (Red Panda?) for Joyetech Espion Solo?

I hope you will help me out and improve the UI of that device.

I am verry happy with using Arcitic fox on the CUBOID and eVic VTC and Wismec P80.
The first point I would like to change is to switch off this annoying "press button to lock/unlock"-message!

    Thank you for your help

    Hello maelstrom,
thank you for your reply. I am really sad :(
Is there any chance to hack it on my own, with knowing about atmel and pic?
Which controller chipset is used? Maybe its possible to hack the routine that displays the stupid message...
    Thank you

Yes. Decrypt Joyetech firmware with NFirmwareEditor and disassemble it with IDA Pro, then create your own patches :)

Thank you for reply. I followed your instructions, but with no sucsess:(

When I tried to open espion_solo.bin I got this:
    upload_2018-10-30_0-48-5.png

o_O I think this is why you guys didn't work on Espion Solo yet, right?

So I restarted. To see how this works I opend the eVic_primo.bin and decrypted it. Then changed to IDA Pro 5.0 and
 was totaly knocked down by that huge amount of function. I messed around with absolutly no idea of what I'm doing.
I will try to get familar with IDA by trying the disassebly of some of my atmel-projects.

    What does the decryption do?
What information does IDA need for disassemly? What controller does the Espion Solo use?
    Thanks for help

It does not interest us because of the touchscreen.

    Hi maelstrom,
thank you for your help. The decryption worked now.
As I saw, you are using IDA6.8... my IDA PRO 5 freeware, does not support ARM structures.o_O

Okay. Even if got this running I wouldn't be familiar with the ARM structure neither, I would have to work in much deeper then I want to at the moment. I'm affraid that I would have to ask a lot more questions to get success.
So let me ask just one:
Can't you do the modification for me?
I mean: Just to prevent the annoying message being displayed in locked-mode.

    Thank you in advance

    Hello!
    https://nfeteam.org/forum/threads/arcticfox-nfe-tools-complete-guide.957/
    See p. 2 "Supported devices".
Espion Solo have no ability to force boot in LDROM mode (recovery) in usual way, so it will not be supported. In addition, it has touch control, which is also an argument against.

    P. S. I've successfully ran dedicated ArcticFox build with touchscreen support on Espion Solo, but definitely there will be no official support in the main branch. If something goes wrong during the flashing process, you will brick the device, cause it can not be put in recovery mode with buttons. It may start in recovery mode only on its own initiative, or in a very complex way with full disassembly. So flashing should be done on 128% checked equipment in order and crossing fingers.

    P. P. S. If you're convinced that your skill is good and your hardware works fine, I can provide P11 compatible build for Espion Solo which I'm using personally. Also, it is possible to update LDROM to unlock the access to Recovery Mode, so the risk of an unsuccessful update has been reduced dramatically :)
