@maelstrom2001 , yes its me again, your new nightmare I have a possible issue with my espion solo and "solo_190618.bin" firmware. The problem is that my box still in charge mode for hours and hours without going to "ibernation/power off" like my eVic Primo 2.0 with AF version 190624. At 6:30PM display is showing charging screen, please see attached image; and after 2 hours nothing changed: box still charging. Never had this problem with "original firmware" and the same battery. Maybe a possible bug in 190618 version? for test purpose i can safetly downgrade to solo_190602.bin firmware version? You have other suggestions to check? Thank you for attention
Hello! Original firmware goes to sleep when battery voltage reach 4.12 volts or charger IC reports CV cycle end. AF have more strict limit: it is 4.20 volts. For some reason your battery can not take full charge. As I see on your photo, the charging stucks at 4.18 volts, so I can suggest a workaround: set battery offset voltage (BVO) +0.02. Anyway, charger IC in your box with this battery never generate "charge full" signal on any firmware, but stuck at 4.18 + 0.02 volts (= 4.20) will shutdown AF. Why I don't really want change that threshold voltage down to OEM firmware value? Cause this value works for my box and my batteries, and for main AF branch as well for a long time
@iRcKenny you're welcome Want to add that actually using BVO about +0.02..0.05 volts should not make any significant changes to the operation of the box, but it should help to resolve issue you found. It's okay
Charged today my Espion Solo with the settings you suggest, adding +0.02 on BVO, and the box had self shutdown after reaching 4.20V! Thanks. Now a new question @maelstrom2001: How i can reset the puff count? in my ArcticFox eVic Primo 2.0 when the puff counter is blinking i simply hold + and - untill the counter is resetted but how to do on Espion Solo? Holding Fire button or "back" button doesnt had any impact on counter.
Hello! Main Menu -> Settings -> Puffs -> Counters, tap "Reset". Yep, here is this: For Espion Solo these actions are mapped: "+-" = hold Fire + Lock buttons; "Fire -" = swipe left in bottom of the screen; "Fire +" = swipe right in bottom of the screen. In standby mode swipe area is in the upper part of the screen, above animated arrows (unlock the touch first).
Hi maelstrom, as I said before: YOU ARE A MAGICIAN! I have been using your workaround until now, but this solution is much better. Finaly I got the fantastic AF for the Espion Solo - thank you VERY MUCH. I love it
Indeed it DOES! I really like the Solo because of its compact format and with AF running its great now. With knowing of AFs capabilities and compare it with the stock firmware the joyetech stuff is just a junk. I could understand if there were to less memory space inside to get a better UI working, but you show us: that is not true. The Joyetech engineers should take a look on your results and learn how to make their stuff better. Thank you again I am total excited.
Hello! In addition, you have to remove 4 magnets from body. When you remove them, the plastic chassis will slide out easily.
@duwei0331 Common ArcticFox builds are not compatible with Espion Solo. Read instruction carefully and flash solo_*.bin from this post: Joyetech Espion Solo 80w TouchScreen
Will this continue being supported? I am currently thinking about buying one, but only if it will get future Arctic Fox builds.
Hello! Yes, this box will be supported while it is in everyday use. Spoiler: P. S. As well as something not from JWEI. Maybe
I flashed your firmware (solo_190602) yesterday. It works perfectly. Thank you very much, you are amazing.
