The display of URSA / Cyborg is very strange. I hooked up a display from Evolv DNA - it works perfectly. Both displays are described as 0.96 "- but there is a difference in width. In other words, the DNA display works but cannot enter the socket. I have a Chinese display that works and enters the socket, but has one strange drawback - the colors are different This is exactly how it behaves when I put it on a DNA board.

P.S. I can't change the color theme either in NFETools ...

 

@maelstrom2001 Any hint where I can touch to change the colors? I am very annoyed by the white background in this situation

 

Thanks man, fix my evening! You must have written it somewhere, but I haven't read it! It works! Now if I know how to do the same in Escribe, I will replace the cheap display instead of the original Evolv

I got back into vaping about a week ago and unknowingly bought a GRUS because it looked like a real quality device to me. The device itself didnt dissappoint me at all but the lack of features in the firmware surely did. So I went out and found you guys. Due to my background in electronic repairs this was an absolute breeze to do and im super duper happy.
You even made me get an URSA aswell and I will probably be picking up a Thelema too with how this is progressing.

What is the essential information for choosing right type?
Is "ST7735" the interface (controller) of the display?

Couldn't flash it. I tried both a native cable and a homemade one. DFU does not appear . They asked for the revision number of the board, but there is none

 

A little anecdote about some inbox usb cables working.
The cable that came with my GRUS (imported into Germany by innocigs) had no pins connected whatsoever besides vbus and ground while the one that came with my URSA (with a sticker on the box that has been taped over saying "only for sale in the United States") has one of the CC pins and SBU2 connected (which works). Additionally the cable that came with the URSA is round as opposed to the flat one that came with the GRUS. So maybe its a distributor thing or simply random if not all URSA cables work out of the box.

I'm new comer and new vapers here, but very enjoy to follow this thread.
So, after a week of following the thread, I decide to buy lost vape mod with quest chip, the chepest one to get myself a try.

I bought lost vape BTB(Back To Basic). 100W mod with 18650 battery. I believe this mod is older than grus. Screen menu is same and the chip is also using STM32F072C8T6.

To get dfu mode, I make jumper from pin 5 and pin 1 in cpu, and usb I do soldered directly to pinout in pcb. But, I just forgot to read the original boot, my bad. I flash dfu boot from grus, and firmware ar210331.
I just confirm that arcticfox also can be flash to this mod.

Congratulations Madslim, but I feel that the title of this topic will soon not be in one line

 

My BTB is successfully upgrade with arcticfox, but got some problem. The orientation of the lcd is upsidedown, the color is inverted( I may need to change HW to 1.01), also the mapping button is not correct. I may need assistance for this to fix.
