Hi Jay, yes the Grus is a nice solid mod isn't it. I'm not sure I follow you 100%, and apologies for my confusion and if this is not what you're asking - but if you can find one of these (uk ebay) https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/133924234834, things might become easier. I have one of these but before it arrived I managed to get a reliable solder joint on one of those 16 pin usb-c male plug ( https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/125074524290 ) . I didn't remove anything from the plug, just soldered straight onto the pins. See the screenshot from Smoking Maniac's utube video for the 16-pin USB, which I've modified with the text in yellow). I actually found the plug to have different CC location (the third pin from the opposite end on both sides). Still trying to figure that one out! But, one thing is you might like to scope out the usb-c cable that was originally included with your Grus mod. I might be wrong but have a feeling that someone already mentioned that it worked in a previous comment. So maybe it's already wired up to feed the data+ and data- on the USB-A side to the cc1 and cc2 pins on the USB-C side. Maybe worth a try anyway, let us know if it works.
Hey Minty! I definitely wasn't clear sorry about that. I found this on amazon with the CC1/CC2 pins connected to pads but I wasn't sure If I had to remove the capacitor going to the VCC pins. I did try the cable that came with the grus but it didn't work so it must not be wired that way. The 16 pin USB C's are a great idea. They look a bit easier to solder directly, I will try that. Thanks again!
Можно узнать что даёт прошивка по мимо кастомизации? Будут ли квесты 2 поднимать низкие сопроты по типу 0.05? Просто интересно, думаю взять Телему ради этого
Hey FYI. I managed to swap out the AF capable chip from my Cyborg w the one in my Thelema solo!! Both are now working w their swapped chips! ( cyborg running oem Lost Vape firmware)
Which chip did the Thelma originally come with? I have a bunch of Thelma dual that have the nuvoton chips and would be great if I could just swap them with a STM32.
Don`t worry mate, I bought Lost Vape BTB kit a few days ago, I made a copy of the original boot. Now mod it's converted to Arctic Fox! Thank you @maelstrom2001, @Madslim and all community very much!
@maelstrom2001 I ordered the new Centaurus Q200 hoping it has an STM32. Did anyone mention getting one?
Hey everyone I received my mod and supplies today but when I went to disassemble things look off. Mod had a scratch and verify sticker which it did verify but my board looks different than every else's. Lost vape grus 100w Looks like the same STM chip as the Centaurus. Would I be able to jump the BOOTO like with a centaurus? I don't see the BOOTO pin like everyone elses' GRUS pics
Awesome thanks so much, managed to get it flashed. And thank you to everyone else who has helped in this.
Thank U for the great work. I downloaded af_220503 into my GRUS with board as @ Thank U very much. Great job. A couple days ago I downloaded the af_220503 firmware to my GRUS. All works fine, but overheat message, pops out sometimes. My setting are SS316, cold res = 0,604 ohms, p=15W temp limit, 240C. I have board with V2 layout. Like this https://nfeteam.org/forum/attachments/grus-questv2-boot-short-points-jpg.1497/
has any further progress been made on devices that show as WPM USB? i have a artery cold steel AIO that shows exactly the same in device manager would be awesome to get a bettter firmware on it
Centaurus Q200 - From the back it looks like Thelema but there are small differences but from the CPU is quite different and the CPU is a Novoton NUC220. The short on the capacitor (like Thelema) understandably doesn't work.
Good day! I use Thelema solo 100w. I took 8000 puffs on it. It stopped working and does not turn on. I thought the wire was broken or the board burned. But the whole thing. I checked the wires with a multimeter. I examined the board. I changed the batteries, it didn't help. I think the firmware flew off, but the PC does not see the mod. What do you recommend in this case ?
1. check input voltage, its better to use bench power supply with crocodile clip direct to mainboard, you can see how much current suck in 2. check 3 descrete diode for 3.3 volt ldo 3. check 3.3 volt ldo 4. check shorted capacitor nearly 3.3 volt ldo and other after ldo 5. check lcd, try to firing to make sure and see power consumption (this is why you need bench power supply) or use wire at output 6. check boost converter and capacitor nearly 7. check other capacitor/diode/mosfet/charging chip for shorted that maybe can make trouble the mcu not really easy to break because protected by current limiting resistor/voltage divider, and the supply is regulated some component you can just cut out without replacing and mod will still turn on even a failure charging chip, several input capacitor i have attached video below for everyone to try understand how this mod work/repair, i hope i not violate the rules of the forum, if yes, I will delete it.
Hi! I have the adapter below, but I can't manage to get the cable working. Do I have to solder all 4 GNDs and all 4 VCCs? What about the SGND? I soldered D+ to B5 and D- to A5. Thank you https://de.aliexpress.com/item/1005001882963431.html
