170810 Release Candidate English: fixed update on boxes with hardware RTC. Russian: исправлено обновление на устройствах с аппаратными часами реального времени.
Tried this build on the RX300 . Atomizer short error is gone. I have powered down, removed the batteries, replaced batteries and powered back on with no issues! Good job !!
thx for the update + thx for cleaning the nightly forum / archive subthread it really improved the visibility.
Predator 228 works ok - feels a bit underpowered in TC mode (resistance locked - same settings as firmware before).
Still runs solid on both of my Pico 75w boxes. The only glitch I've noticed is if you try to calibrate the internal resistance, and screw in the IR tool to the 510 pin while it's plugged in to USB with Device Monitor running, Device Monitor acts like the box disconnects momentarily and throws up the 'No compatible USB devices connected' message. Clicking OK on this message appears to allow Device Monitor to continue to monitor correctly though. I have not tested this on any older builds, so I'm not sure if this is new or not.
So this seems to have fixed the atomizer short issue on my predator but now I have a fire bar issue. Seems to fire in really short bursts If i hold it down for 5 seconds I only get about 1.3seconds of it being on. Seems to switch on and off really fast.
3.5 is a low value if your batteries is not good enough. You can look how they are voltage drops down in the device monitor when you are pressing fire button. If batteries voltage will be lower than 2.7 this is produce a reboot of the device.
Some boxes may reboot when you shorten 510 output. I have the same glitch on Pico and VTwo Mini, reboot occurs with a probability of 30..50% (the lower the battery charge, the higher the probability), and Pico 25 and Primo never reboots in this case. In general, nothing terrible - sometimes it happens that the box is late seeing a short circuit (due to contact bounce on 510) and does not have time to stop aggressive atomizer polling.
If we are talking about ~2.7V – yes, this a minimum required voltage to power up cpu. If we are talking about reboots when 510 is shorted – this is more hardware issue (probably by the bad design), than limitation.
Batteries drop from 8.4 to 6.4 on fire. Been running like this for months without issues other than the atomizer short thing.
I understand; It makes sense too, because I've had the Pico opened before, and I noticed that the board's ground plane seems to be grounded to the body by just a contact fit connection (not soldered). Essentially, they have what appears to be 'legs' on the board that fit into a corresponding slot on the top/bottom plates.. Not optimal.
this happens on my sinuous p80 so i went back to stock firmware. i thinks it's because it's only a single 18650mod. on my cuboid it's doing great so far. never experienced any resets. but everytime i use ss316 wires, it sometimes switches to VW mode. very random. sometime when i'm at full battery. sometimes when im at 50% but rarely ever happens when i'm 30%-10% which is kinda weird but still works great for me though. not really a big issue for me.
